I've got a new blog on my roll. It's a site I'm tremendously fond of and it makes the extrememly important point : 'because Christian worship is not meant to be about you'.
If you're ever feeling in need of a chortle in these grey Winter days, have a look at Bad Vestments.
You'll wonder how you ever managed without it. Here's one of my current favourites.

My stomach is too delicate, I'm afraid.
LOL!
Glad you have found this blog Annie. It's great fun and the comments are often hilarious from others. Last year they had a vote for the best one - well worst one really - and the one I voted for won. I think it was called Mould Mildew and Fungus so you can imagine what the vestments were like!
It's not done in a nasty way but hopefully when some of those pictured see the comments they might think twice about wearing such vestments. I don't know how to send a picture to the blog otherwise I would have sent one I found recently of a Catholic Bishop in a bright orange mitre and vestments. I have no idea what liturgical season this represented but he looked like an advert for Fanta!
All the best for the New Year!
Hi Pelerin :)
Yes, I know the Fungal Vestments, once seen never entirely forgotten!
They are all utterly spectacular, and not in a good way, but the one that's my current favourite (if that's the word!) is this one: http://badvestments.blogspot.com/2010/04/news-from-art-world.html
This one's just...umm...words completely fail.
And Laura, take a Kwell for the nausea, find some sun glasses, and have a look :D
It would take more than a kwell!
