...to see the movie remake of Brideshead Revisited this weekend. I know it's not a new movie, but it was new to me and I'm ever so glad I didn't shell out at the cinema at the time as I was tempted to do. It made the old Beeb series seem totally splendiferous, and really deep (in spite of Jeremy Irons). In fact, I wondered if they had read the book at all, or just used the series to extrapolate from.
I would so like to see the book made into a film by Catholics, who actually understand what's going on.
