It's been a while

I've not posted much of late for a number of reasons, not least because it's been quite difficult to think of anything positive to say. The usual shenanigans in Rome, the absolutely atrocious twisting of the teaching of Christ to accommodate current societal mores through a footnote in Amores Lie-titia (did I spell that right?), the news of the American bishop's almost amusing decision to almost revert to a pre-Motu position on the EF, it's been quite a pontificate so far. Oh what will 2017 bring?

Well, it heralds the one anniversary I have been looking forward to, the centenary of the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima. So far (notwithstanding the apocalypse following the result of the American election being a bit late), it's been a pretty grim start to the year. The only ray of light has been the brave and steadfast witness of the Four Cardinals' Dubia. Bishop Schneider has written most encouragingly about it, and I recall clearly from the LMS pilgrimage to West Grinstead, where we were so privileged to hear him speak, and celebrate Mass, him calmly saying pretty much the same thing. So that's what I shall be trying to do, carrying on regardless.

As a fan of Archbishop Sheen...

...I found this radio broadcast from 1947 online, and I found it rather interesting.

Happy New Year

When I am feeling discouraged, as I am sure many of us are at the moment, I can always rely upon Bishop Schneider for encouragement :

"The movement to restore the traditional Mass is the work of the Holy Spirit, and is unstoppable."

Wishing you all a holy and happy year!
