The Annunciation

O God, Who didst will that Thy Word should take flesh, at the message of an Angel, in the womb of the blessed Virgin Mary, grant to Thy suppliant people, that we who believe her to be truly the Mother of God, may be helped by her intercession with Thee.

Lovely prayer there, Annie. It occurs at the end of Matins and Lauds in the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary - and probably elsewhere. I won't be a smarty-pants and quote the Latin version. Better to get the book (Baronius Books) and recite it for yourself/selves.

Straight out of my missal!

Yes, quite, dearest, the Collect for the Annunciation, but you missed the little, tiny suggestion of a hint-let, viz., that the Little O. of the B.V.M. is very beautiful and very rewarding, so wouldn't it be a nice thing if more good folk were to recite it?

No I didn't miss the hint, just saying... :D
