I was just trying to find a reason why our Bishop might not have replied!

Not being a driver, London for me is far easier to get to than Arundel but of course I agree that it would be good to be able to see the image in our own diocese.pelerinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8099683968267086634.post-6437191159227033132010-07-07T22:14:19.662+01:002010-07-07T22:14:19.662+01:00But Pelerin, London isn't in A&B! It's fine if you can get to or want to get to Westminster or Southwark, or in fact, any other place out of the Diocese, but why should we have to?Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10653640127655491512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8099683968267086634.post-74795995395262468802010-07-07T21:35:18.407+01:002010-07-07T21:35:18.407+01:00I too have only just learnt about this visit. The venues are listed on the 'Bones' blog who also comments that our Bishop has not yet replied.

I wondered whether perhaps the bishop realises that many of us are within easy reach of London and that was the reason for his non-reply. A pity but could be the reason. The image will be displayed at both Westminster Cathedral and Southwark Cathedral and the first day at Southwark cathedral coincides with the Rosary Crusade on October 9th so it will be possible to combine both on the same day.pelerinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8099683968267086634.post-51885748271762962022010-07-07T18:21:47.790+01:002010-07-07T18:21:47.790+01:00I just love this image of Our Lady, and the miracl...I just love this image of Our Lady, and the miracles associated with the tilma! You lucky Gerontius to have a painting like that :D !

I don't know the best way forward, should we approach our own PPs first, or go straight to the top? This is one of my favourite Titles of Our Lady and I am fortunate to have a seventeenth century painting of Juan Diego opening his tilma to reveal the image. Should we write individually to the Bishop? Surely there must be Parishes in the East and West which would welcome it.

“Do not be troubled or weighed down with grief. Do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your fountain of life? Are you not in the folds of my mantle? In the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else you need?”Gerontiusnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8099683968267086634.post-4575213427223968502010-07-07T10:39:11.428+01:002010-07-07T10:39:11.428+01:00First I'd heard of it also.
